Hi all,

I want to get my wife something from myself and my daughter (4yrs) that she will really like + touch her heart. So I was wondering what ur best gifts have been, or what u would secretly wish ur husbands would get you 😀

Budget up to ~£100 ex meal etc. I have already booked afternoon tea in a really lovely hotel for the day itself.

Thx all.

Not sure if this was the right thread. I live in London so thought this would generate ideas feasible to get in the UK/London area.

What sort of things does she like, generally?

Wouid she prefer a museum/gallery (special event, maybe), a performance, a walking tour, something on the river?

Or do you want to buy an actual thing?

I want to get a gift/thing, I have already arranged afternoon tea for the day.

She like a lot of the usual things, handbags, jewellery, sentimental things that are personalised from our daughter, perfume, makeup etc.

For Xmas she was overjoyed as I bought her a professional expensive set of make-up brushes. She had a good set, that were a bit old, but these were something she wouldn't justify buying herself, which is why she liked them so much.

Any ideas welcome.

If she might like to choose it herself , you could incorporate a trip to the V&A or the British Museum into your visit as they both have particularly good shops with things you won't find elsewhere

You can also shop online:

Aaaw!! My husband completely forgot Monther's Day last year! Could you have a word...?

I love expensive toiletries as gifts. You can get Jo Malone bath oils and perfumes engraved. I would be very happy with that!

And maybe a cute personalised gift like some of the ones here: www.notanotherbunchofflowers.com/collections/mothers-day-gifts

I received this necklace and it’s a lovely sentimental gift that I wear every day because it represents my family. In silver with one child charm it’s slightly over your budget, but they offer a 10% discount if you sign up to their newsletter.

Loving the ideas. That necklace is indeed lovely, but I bought it for her 2 yrs ago. I also got a small rainbow for her from my daughter...their favourite movie is Wizard of Oz! Going to look at the toiletries now.

@VelvetPineapple - you seem to have similar taste to my wife. Any other ideas?

Thx Jon

I like these, you could get a necklace or bracelet with 3 people to represent your family? www.bybiehl.com/uk/74-together
