Visiting London - what to do?

Hi all

My boyfriend and I are visiting London tomorrow and Friday. We've been before and done the usual tourist stuff, Madame Tussaud's, London Eye, Dungeons etc.

Does anyone have any recommendations of cool things to see/do?

Thanks :)

Go and see the B.Palace State Rooms - only open during the summer.
Go shopping on Oxford St.
Take a boat ride on the Thames.
London Zoo
Just Google London attractions.

My recommendations are: The Tower of London, Thames boat or speed boat ride, Natural History Museum, National Portrait Gallery, go to the theatre- The book of Morman is hilarious, Mad Hatters afternoon tea at The Sanderson.

Enjoy your trip

Thank you!
I've already googled, but it's nice to get recommendations from actual people :)

Go to the top of the walkie talkie (20 Fenchurch Street), Borough Market, Tower of London, the walk ways of Tower Bridge, have some drinks at the bar outside HMS Belfast, walk down to Shad Thames. Walk along the south side of the river to millenu bridge then cross it to St Paul’s
Have a wonderful time!

This tour is so brilliant and they still have a couple of places left for Friday morning.

Honestly, you won’t be disappointed!

I think the Notting Hill Carnival is on this weekend, starting on Friday, that gets very busy. Whereabouts are you staying. The Southbank is nice to walk around, you can get a river boat from the London Eye, stop off at the Tate modern then back on again to the Tate Britain if you like art galleries. The outside piazza behind kings cross station is really nice for lunch, they've got loads of places to eat, fountains and you can get a river boat up the Thames to Regents park. What sort of things do you like to do.

Go to Kings Cross - have a glass of champagne in Searchys Bar in St Pancras (such a beautiful building), walk over to Granary Square (maybe have lunch there - Dishoom is supposed to be great). From there you can walk along the tow path next to the canal up to near Camden (it's blocked off just before so you need to go up to the road and walk about 5 mins) then you can wander the market there.

Sorry, n.h. carnival is Sunday and money, the sausage dog parade is on saturdayGrin

Shoreditch is fab - lots of quirky chichi shops & markets

These are all brilliant guys thank you.
We're staying nearly Wembley as it was cheaper and easier to park. Going to get the tube into the centre :)

Are you taking a tour of the stadium

Fiirefly · 22/08/2018 21:35

A tour of Wembley? I hadn't even thought of it! Is it worth doing?

My nephews did, look it up on the website. They run it in the afternoons. I guess it could be interesting, I found the London Stadium a great place to visit and Wembley is an iconic piece of history.
