Bars / pubs in Ealing

I'm meeting some friends tonight for drinks and we're meeting at Ealing Bdy because it's convenient for all of us, coming from multiple directions. However, none of us know it very well! Any suggestions of pubs / bars nearby that would be good for a mums' night out?

Shame I've seen this too late as I would have been able to recommend some splendid places. Did you find somewhere?

Pragmatism rather than taste guided our choice - we dodged the rain in the North Star and then danced at The Lodge as people told us it was good for cocktails - I'd like to collect some better recommendations for next time though!

Glad you found somewhere to enjoy your evening! I would recommend The Grove and The Red Lion. The former also does excellent food and the latter provides magnificent pizza from one of London's finest pizza restaurants which is helpfully located next door (but you can order and eat in the pub without leaving). I can provide links if helpful, they're a few minutes walk from the station but it's a pleasant walk as well past lots of nice restaurants and shops.
