Lockdown learning collaboration

I have a pre schooler. I’m curious, for those families home schooling, what stops parents collaborating and sharing it across various families? Might it not be easier for a parent to teach say, five kids live on zoom english and then a parent from another family to teach them maths? I’ve been watching as folks struggle to do everything and do all day learning and just wondered if anyone had tried something more collaborative with friends or parents from same school?

Could it be rolled out to others?

My DS is year 6 and we do a reading group twice a week ( Harry Potter this lockdown and The BFG last time - books that most children already have at home). We get around 8-12 children so about half the class. We also started doing Friday Bake Off - we cook cakes, cookies, pizza etc all over zoom; chaotic but the kids love it!!
