Lockdown learning
Have the numbers of children in you DC school jumped since the announcement that schools won't open after half term?

I noticed on the zoom meet this week (only get one per week) that that now nearly half the children are in in DDs year 2 class. Seemed to coincide with the announcement. Has anyone else had this happen?

You mean the numbers of children attending in person (e.g. keyworker and vulnerable)?
Ours are static as it's a fixed number we can safely have on site. This hasn't changed with any announcements.

Yes sorry the numbers in person. We see the kids in the classroom on the zoom meeting and it's jumped.
How many do you allow per class?

We are a small rural school and allow 25% of the school, so they can be distanced in one area and teachers not supervising them can conduct online lessons for those at home.

They haven’t, but we did have a fairly telling letter sent through on Studybugs suggesting people had been trying to ask for places but they weren’t able to take them on because they consider themselves full (around 40% of all on roll kids at some point across the week).
I think they’ve had a lot of people calling because their child is struggling mental health-wise and asking for a place, and potentially a few questioning why others get to go in based on the tone of the letter.
