BBC Lessons

We tried some of this during our lunchtime. I wasn’t sure that it seemed accurately pitched for the 12-13 yr olds it was aimed at. The lesson was English, the presenting was quite good but the person described as The Teacher was giving tips to ‘improve yer writin’ . My son said ‘this teacher thinks she’s a road man’. So I asked if anyone in his comp. did anything like this. He gave me that look that indicated I came from Mars, raised his eyebrows and said ‘no’. 😂

BBC you are definitely going about getting down with the kids the wrong way 😂

Last time I watched it was celebs presenting the lessons. Why not actual teachers?

We didnt watch much after we watched some in lockdown 1 and the maths was pitched all wrong. The online stuff including the games are good though.

I guess they're going for a different approach to Oak Academy, which uses real teachers.

Plus many real teachers are still working.

Dh and I ended up watching a space one on bbc2 during our lunch break recently. It was pretty interesting. Though felt that the tone was a little young for the older age group.
