Anyone done Duolingo Stories

Hello. I know no Spanish. My 8 year old is teaching herself Spanish from Duolingo, she really enjoys it. I'm aware that apps aren't the best way if learning languages, but I don't have a Spanish speaker to hand, and she chooses to do this even when I'm not limiting her to 'school work'.
She has now unlocked the 'Stories'. I had an email, 'Enjoy romance? See what's next!' with the trail being that someone is going to the airport for her honeymoon, and that should be a happy day, right...?
Does anyone know if all the stories on here are ok for an 8 year old? I'd listen to them myself, but it wouldn't leave me any the wiser!
Thanks

Following. DS wanted to use Duolingo stories too.

They are pitched at adults, but are not mature themed. if I recall that one it is that the other spouse had refused to set off on the honeymoon, but that in the end she turned up at the station. It's a lesbian marriage, presented uncontroversially.

Not high literature, or good relationships, but nothing worse than you see in Disney.

I let DS (7) do them

The ones I've done haven't been rude in any way. They're framed like funnly little tales. I don't recall this one, but it will be something like getting the wrong day, or getting on the wrong plane.

There was one where a couple went on a date and hated each other, until he walked her back and discovered she had a dog. Was quite amusing.

Another one was a man having dinner with his mother where she was trying to set him up with one of her friends, only for his secret new wife to join them.

They're fairly innocuous, i found them funny and I'd be willing to let an 8 year old of mine use them

Thanks everyone. They sound innocuous enough. I think it was use of the genre name 'romance' - I wouldn't want her reading 'romance' novels at this age. But given the Spanish I've heard her use, I doubt she could understand anything with rude connotations anyway!
