Obviously I am a little concerned about my year 10 DS missing out on GCSE teaching.
He's well motivated and was doing well in all subjects prior to this and considered an 'academic'. On track for some very good grades. He's currently working through his normal timetabled subjects each day. Starts at 10am and easily finished everything after 3 hrs, 4 hrs at the most. He's assuring me he's doing everything set, and appears to have written plenty in his books, but I'm anxious after hearing of other dc who are doing a full school day 9 - 3.45, or even 10 - 8 on a thread in AIBU.

I’m sick as a parrot about it all but trying to give myself a talking to there was one mail from dds Sunderland school on 20th advising how to access online resources on school website and not a single other constructive email since. I’m struggling to think of a reason how that’s ok

DD1 is in Y10 and is set work for each lesson whenever that is timetabled. How long it takes her varies hugely; sometimes 30 minutes, sometimes 90 but she seems fairly motivated by it and the teachers have been brilliant at responding to queries or acknowledging handed in work. She's done a few full school days but definitely not 10-8!
