Isolation activities and ideas thread

Thread for ideas for keeping busy if we get locked down or in isolation.

Other than obvious Netflix binge, and reading what do others think will keep them occupied

Buying plants and seeds ahead of a lockdown so can spend it Planting up the garden

I am going to buy paint tomorrow and maybe freshen a room or two. Plenty of books I haven't read. Also need to order a lot of photos to put into albums (at least a years worth). Could also do a bit of the garden. Could make scrapbooks (wedding and dc)

I’ve bought a beginners tapestry kit from Amazon.

We’ve bought in some paint to redecorate a couple of rooms.

And I’m going to get back into playing the Piano with help of my DS and YouTube.

I have 6 essays to write for uni so guess I know what I'll be doing...

Otherwise decluttering, clearing the garden, deep cleaning the house

I’m going to make pasta necklaces in my toilet roll fort.

I’m going to get all of my Jillian Michaels DVD’s our and get ripped 😂💪🏼

Bake cake... eat cake 🍰 😊 box sets... waiting for virgin river series 2!!

I think you need to consider that potentially your period of isolation might be spent feeling shockingly poorly & trying not to infect your family members. Think of things to keep you occupied whilst you rest in bed. Eldest DS is currently in isolation & is struggling psychologically with having to be separated from everyone else.

I’ll be working from home whilst also trying to try to keep my kids education going. Doubt they’ll be any time for netflix

Netflix, reading, internet and sleep. Complete privacy, sheer bliss (as long as I'm not ill, only isolating as a precaution).

Tidying, cleaning, painting the house. Sorting out the garden. Lots of books to read. Board games. Baking. Creating recipes from our stock cupboard. Sorting out photos on my iPad. Playing piano.

I have loads of clothes that need to be mended or altered. I would be really satisfied if I got the pile sorted. I might just declutter and upcycle all my clothes.
