Anyone interested in any bike equipment for small children?

I know this should be in for sale but I thought it might be easier to address local people directly as all of these items would require picking up.

I have available to sell at reasonable prices (to be negotiated) the following items:

a bike with inbuilt stabilizers for a child aged about 3 plus (my ds2 had it aged 3)

a bike for a child aged about 4-6 (my ds1 had it aged 4) It does not come with stabilizers as the ones we had broke, but you could easily fit new ones)

a trailgator in excellent condition. This is a towing bar you attach to the back of your bike and the handlebars of your child's bike. It then lifts the front wheel of your child's bike so that you can tow your child. If your child wants/is able to cycle themselves, the towing bar is easily detatched and stowed on your bike.

a child seat for the back of an adult bike. In excellent condition - very little used.

2 small size bike helmets for children. Neither has been in an accident but one curiously has some bite marks in the foam but not enough, I would imagine, to affect the performance of the helmet.

If you are interested in any of these items, I will happily provide you with more details, photographs and discuss price with you. I live north of Bristol but would be willing to meet somewhere mutually convenient if pick up were a problem.

Please help me make some much needed money!

Yes i am interested in the trailgator and possibly the bike for 4-6 as i am not sure if the trailgator will go on my daugter bike.

Dumbledoresgirl · 16/05/2010 21:12

Oh excellent. Whereabouts are you? Do you want pics? The bike, I have to admit, is blue so it might not be what you would want for your dd although mine rode it in her time. It has the bit for the trailgator on it at the moment too so that would add to the convenience of having both things though it would be no trouble to get it off if you only wanted the trailgator.

I will get back to you tomorrow when I have had a chance to get the stuff out of the garage.

we live near kingswood. would love to see some pics The bike she is riding at the mo is fine 16inch I think but not sure if a trailgator will fit on it.

Sorry, not forgotten you, but I have had quite a day today and not had a chance to do photos. I will try again tomorrow.

Meanwhile, here is a link to a trailgator. I think ours is the same as shown here. I will sell it for even less than the half price offer here (was thinking £20 - how do you feel about that?)

I will take a special photo of the attachment on the child's bike so you can get an idea of whether it will fit on your dd's bike.

Sorry this has taken so long. I was (am still, a bit) ill. I have uploaded photos of the bikes to my profile. One shows where the trailgator attaches.

The trailgator is as per my link below.

Anyone interested in the child seat? It is boxed away in a cupboard, but I am sure I can find a link to it on the net if needed.

we are deficiently want the trailgator when are you free to meet up were are you? away this weekend so either before or after the weekend.

bratnav · 26/05/2010 23:12

DG how much would you want for the child seat, also what age is it suitable from?

Dumbledoresgirl · 31/05/2010 18:56

Sorry, only just come back to MN after a bit of a "time" in rl.

Castle - would be happy to sell you the trailgator.

Bratnav, the child seat does not seem to have a recommended minimum age though obviously the child would have to be able to sit up unaided. Maximum weight limit is 48 lbs (22 kgs). We have all the parts, in the original box and were thinking £30. Let me see if I can find a link for you.

Slight problem at the moment: I have no car so can't make any promises about getting into Bristol at the moment.

Like this one Bratnav. Reclines, has 3 point strap, foot rests, handlebar etc, only I can't help but notice that the max weight is different in this link.

Meant to add to both you Bratnav and Castle, although I haven't got my car at the moment, I will get it back one day (I hope) or dh has his car, or you could collect from me (in Thornbury).

Also got a back carrier and a large fireguard if anyone is interested. And a small trampoline which needs a new bit you bounce on but the frame and ropes are in good condition. Sorry, I keep thinking of more things my children have grown out of!

Dumbledoresgirl · 02/06/2010 21:18

Hi

Can anyone recommend a builder / conservatory firm who could help supply and install a small conservatory?

Many thanks
