About Mums Business Club

We hold monthly networking meetings for women who are in business, who are about to start a business or who are thinking about starting a business. Meetings are child friendly, there's no pressure and no joining fees - just £4 per meeting you attend, with tea, coffee and cake provided - plus juice for the little ones. We will have inspirational speakers to give advice & tips on running your own business and you can meet like minded women who offer support & understanding. Plus, its a chance to meet potential new clients and to show off your business.

We will also be running other events, workshops and seminars locally, regionally and nationally across the year.

We aim to build a strong network of women in business, supporting and encouraging each other to reach our full potential and to fulfill our dreams!

First meeting will be an informal get together for coffee and a chat, giving everyone the chance to meet. It will be help at Great Coffee, 95 Gosforth High Street, Newcastle, NE3 4AA. Simply grab your refreshments from the counter and meet us in the lounge. Toys and Cbeebies will be provided to keep the kids entertained. There is no charge for this event. Mums Business Club North East is celebrating National Family Week by bringing all our families together for a picnic!

National Family Week, the UK?s biggest celebration of family life, is kicking off the summer half term holidays between 31st May and 6th June with over 5000 family-friendly events and activities taking place across the country. Mums Business Club North East is proud to be part of this great family initiative and to promote positive family life in our own backyard.

It's a great chance to meet the Mums Business Club coordinators and members from across the region for a relaxed and fun networking experience. Monday 14th June 2010 - Making the most of the internet to promote your business for free, Esporta Health Club, 3 Camberwell Way, Doxford, Sunderland, SR3 3XN, 10 - 11.30am

The focus of the meeting is "making the most of the internet to promote your business for free!", we will be discussing all our tried and tested methods and sharing some ideas.
Our speaker will be Heather Baxter from Marketing Geni (www.marketing-geni.com) Heather has over 20 years experience as a sales and marketing professional. She specialises in helping clients promote their business using a combination of cutting edge digital marketing methods and more traditional, but no less effective campaigns and statergies.

At Esporta reception inform then you are here for the Mums Business Club meeting and they will direct you to the reserved area of the cafe next to the soft play area. Please purchase your own refreshments from the counter. Esporta do have a creche facilitiy which can be used for £5 an hour, creche places need to be pre-booked with the venue on 0191 511 4400 (at least 24 hours notice is required). Don't forget to bring your promotional material to share with the group.

Tuesday 13th July 2010 - Getting the balance, Runamokka, 221 Whitley Road, Whitley Bay, Tyne & Wear NE26 2SY at 10am till 11.30am

The focus of this meeting is "getting the balance!" we will be discussing how to balance it all and not feel frazzled!!
Our speaker will be Ritu Kumar from Your Body Matters (www.physiotherapymatters.co.uk) which runs laughter yoga, massage and core stability classes from bump to older people. Ritu will talk on 'getting the balance' through unconventional methods such as Laughter Yoga; proven to release endorhins, tone the tummy, beat stress and post natal depression all the whilst.. literally.. having a laugh!

Please sign in at the counter and purchase your refreshments (we have arranged a discount on the soft play so that the costs remain within £4). There is a buggy park at the back of the cafe. This cafe is child friendly with a pre school soft play area in one corner (clearly visable from everywhere in the cafe and tested by my 1 year old!).
