Can anyone recommend one please? If they're close to Preston Park/Fiveways even better. Was recommended one near PP station but they don't do NHS anymore.
thanks

Are there none closer though I wonder? There's one on Dyke Road round the corner from Matlock Road. He used to have a sign saying NHS. He's Lithuanian. I haven't been but my neighbour says he's good. Though she might be biased as she's Lithuanian.

We are with the brighton dental centre up at Seven Dials. Seem ok. We see Daniel. I'm off there tomorrow for a filling.
We are nhs.

migola · 07/04/2010 16:18

thanks friendly. poor you. I am terrified as I know I need a BIG filling on my wisdom tooth and am imagining all sorts of horrible things like extraction. Is this Daniel person nice or a bit serious/scary? (I know, am pathetic)

the one I mentioned takes referals from other dentists as well, as they do sedation. we went there when ds was refered. they are really good with people who are scared.(just not the woman)

I can't offer one on your doorstep, but there is a Brilliant one on Trafalgar Street in Town, Trafalgar Street Dental Practice......Alex is our Dentist, & he's brilliant with both kids & adults

he even manages to put me at ease, which after a Marothan man type nightmare experience at Whitechapel Dental hospital years ago, REALLY takes some doing....he's the only Dentist I've ever had, that I am more than happy to go to, & DD loves him to bits...& they take NHS, & I'm pretty sure their list is still open, as he took on a friends 2 Kids recently

migola · 09/04/2010 12:07

thank you thank you. have just called them and have an appt for 3 weeks time, feel sick at the thought of it! It's not with Alex though so I might call them back next week to see if I can swap..

Glad to have helped......

I've not seen the other the other dentist properly, as we are all registered with Alex, but seeing him whilst waiting, he too seems nice & always seems very polite & friendly when greeting his patients,

Though not quite as smiley as Alex himself, so don't worry too much if you can't change your appointment to him

Toothsmart dental on Portland road in Hove are very nice too. I searched for ages and did loads of research to find a decent dentist. I am a wuss too! So far they seem great.
