With two children and any friends in tow, I get fed up being charged huge prices for poor or average food whnever we go out. We normally travel with packed lunches, juice and so on.
We were in the scottish museum in Edinburgh yesterday and we had not prepared the usual food parcels. So we went out round the corner and found monster mash. A cafe selling mash potatoes and sausages. Not the cheapest but we had three full children. The food was tasty, the portions enough to sink a battle ship and it seems like a fun place. the staff were helpfull with babies and toddlers and the atmosphere was relaxed.
So I would recommend it if you are out that way or up towards the meadows in edinburgh
