am happy to do deposit of course, thanks for organising VBUS perhaps ppl attending Weds meet could give VBUS their deposits then so she doesn't have to chase

vbus - thank you for organising the party. I can do 4th Dec and am happy to pay the deposit (well, I only live four houses down from the pub/restaurant/hotel).

I think consensus from this morning was

a) full meal preference as opposed to canapes
b) might not be best idea to hire upstairs venue as it holds 34 and we wouldn't fill it
c) rather book somewhere that doesn't require a deposit to avoid someone having to collect cash off everyone etc plus gives us flexibility with booking and adjusting final numbers on the night in case anyone has to drop out for whatever reason (kids ill etc)d) go for a nice meal somewhere we can chat in Richmond/Kew on 5th Dec not necessarily with a Xmas package

Is that about right? Please add if I missed anything.

Sushi - thanks for offer to pay deposit but let's try and avoid that route if poss as it does complicate things.

I won't cancel KG hotel reservation just yet but let's explore a few more options 1st based on the above.

Sfx had a suggestion of restaurant venue which she will enquire about and let us know if it's possible to book there

Hi everyone. I've been useless at keeping up to date with you all - sorry. Just to say that I'm really hoping to make it to the dinner on 4th Dec - it just depends on DH getting home on time, but hopefully 4 weeks is enough notice! Looking forward to hearing all the details : )

Don't have a problem with Verde on one proviso - they aren't doing their preXmas menu which looks really dull. They have two party menue which look fine 3 courses for £18 or £24 plus service and drinks.

Also happy with fatboys. Paddel may be able to come too though I told her Friday, will consult her on the saturday...
