I'm not sure if this is allowed? But basically I'm wondering if anyone out there wants to lend me a hand with some very basic DIY.

I just need someone to strip wallpaper off a ceiling, and lightly sand down the walls, ceiling and woodwork in a room 4m by 4m.

It's probably only 1 or 2 days work and it's not difficult at all I could do it myself if I had the time - but I don't!

Can do any hours so long as the job gets finished within a week I don't mind. I live in Westbury on Trym.

Def not a job for a proper builder or decorator it's just really basic prepping stuff.

£5.50 is below minimum wage, so you can't employ anyone to help you. You would need someone who is self-employed. I wouldn't for £5.50 ph, tbh.

Hey Lou031205, I didn't realise min wage was more than £5.50 for some reason I thought it was £5.10? Just had a quick google and it's £5.73, do you know if I have that right?

Fair enough you wouldn't do it but I have had about 12 emails from people that would - but will be paying £6 an hour now to cover min wage. I look after peoples children for £6 an hor on occassion so don't think it's that bad?!

My neighbour has got a great man, he's repainting her front door, putting glass panels in and painting her ironwork for £100. I'll ask for his number.
