Remind me which swimming pools in Edinburgh have a kids pool or steps/sloped shallow end.

I am missing the Commy pool!!

DS will not go in a swimming pool at the shallow end unless his feet can touch the bottom. So I need to go to a pool with a slope or steps into it, or a baby pool.

Since the commonwealth shiut, we have been going to Loanhead, but firstly it's bloody freezing there, and secondly, I have to pay for the kids which I don't have to Edinburgh pools

Leith Water World is the obvious one, but I can't take ds and mindee there because of their one to one policy.

Any other suggestions for pools in edinburgh that i can try?

cheers

Yes, have to be Edinburgh. We don't really have time to trail out to Livvi. And IIRC from when I lived there, the policy about one to one for ds's age would rule it out anyway.

Will have a look at the council website re Ainslie park...

The pool in Dunbar is nice, slope, wave machine, bubble bed

Ainslie Park, was there today and the shallow pool is still there. Nice cafe in the foyer for hot chocolate after.
Waterworld is also a nice depth, but more expensive than Ainslie park and only one child per adult if they are under 8, whereas you can take two into most other pools.
