Come on Cambridge folk - where to for lunch?

OK - I have a day off today (yippee!). No children until 1.30ish.

MIL coming over so we can go shopping in Cambridge - where shall I take her for lunch?

Would be nice to sit a while outside and watch the world go by but not essential.

I feel as though I haven't been anywhere apart from John Lewis or Giraffe and sat with (my) screaming children for eons. So where shall we go?

I keep meaning to go to Massaro's, it does look nice. For a coffee though, 90% of the time I go to Savino's on Emmanuel Street: an Italian coffee shop actually run by Italians and where Italian is spoken. They actually have an interest in making good coffee. You can tell it's good as any Italians in Cambridge inevitably seem to find it.

We've just moved house but did live a stone's throw from Cafe Adriatic before. It is a great place for an unpretentious, inexpensive meal out.

Oooh I am glad I started this! Lots of fab ideas. Wish I went out for lunch more often now!

Fitzwilliam Museum? Nice food in the cafe indoors and looked like they'd added a coffee place outside last time I cycled past.

Always keen for company Ruby - but also require a keen babysitter so I can enjoy a leisurely lunch without screeching, getting more juice, "but I want to sit with you too!" etc etc etc!
