Hello - newbie "older" mum here - anyone near Romsey?

Hello ladies

I have just found this board and wondered if there are any other mums to be out there who live locally or who I can chat to.

This is my first pregnancy, currently 8.5 weeks and being 40+ would love to chat to other mums of a similar age going through this experience. So many decisions to make at the moment I don't know where to start.

Hi Dreamer. Welcome to MN, and I hope your pregnancy is going well. I would suggest you try the ante natal boards on here if you are looking for others at the same stage of pregnancy as you.

I am 38, live in Eastleigh and have 2 dd's, 2 and 6, so have been through it all, but the ante natal boards are great - I have made some great friends through them - some local, some not so local.

The mumsnet local boards don't get a lot of attention.

Have to agree with Sexonlegs.

I've just turned 40 with 3 DC's aged 8, 7 and nearly 3. Youngest was born with a cleft lip and palette so had many ups and downs.

If you fancy a chat I'm here.

We live in Fawley but hubby works out of Romsey so always out and about.

Thanks for getting back to me. Yes I had noticed that not much happens on the local caht which is a shame as it is a great idea. I was hoping to find some local antenatal yoga classes. Mind you I am only at 12 weeks so I expect most will be in the day and it's a bit early to start maternity leave!

Hi. I had my last child at 41 and i used to live in Romsey. I used to go to Anti Natal swimming classes which were brilliant. I now live in Salisbury. Good luck with your first pregnancy. . . I hope it goes well. I have had 3 children, so if you want any advice etc i am happy to share info.

Sounds like a MN local meet up is in order! Maybe aimed at older mums??
