New SAH mum in North Leeds who wants to know where to go

Hi,
My son is 4 1/2 months old and I am going mad in the house. Does anyone know where there are any good groups to go to where Joseph can play and I can meet other mums? I live in North Leeds and have a car so can get about. At the moment I am trying to walk everywhere though to help lose the baby weight!

The NCT have quite a few groups across North Leeds

Have you tried children centres? There is one in Chapeltown that has loads going on!

There is also a new mums group at St Andrews Church in Roundhay that I went to when Charlie was about the same age. I work now so can't go!

Whereabouts in North Leeds?

There is a lovely Baby & Toddler group at the Parochial Hall on Fitzroy Drive, Oakwood on Weds 10:00 to 11:30. St Andrews in Roundhay is on a Tuesday afternoon,I think, and their baby/toddler sessions are on Tues & Fri mornings at 10:00.

Nice Headingley/Weetwood NCT group on a Friday morning.

When he's a bit older, Bee Sharp does a really lovely music group - Roundhay and Headingley.

There is a lovely Children's centre at Carr Manor Primary School that has play and stay on a Tuesday afternoon and Friday morning. It's busy though so you need to book.

The Chapel Allerton NCT meet at the Chapel Allerton Children's centre on Tuesday mornings and are a lovely friendly group.

Stainbeck Church on Stainbeck Lane have a stay and play on a Thursday morning (9-11), followed by a lunch club (11.15-1) and then a craft session for parents (1-3) if that's your thing. There is also Minimovers there on a Tuesday afternoon from 1.30 to 3.

There are also various mother and toddler groups at churches in N Leeds as well as the Baby Cafe at Moortown Baptist Church on a Thursday afternoon 1.00 till 3.00.

I live on the border between Chapel Allerton, Meanwood and Moortown. Sorry I have not responded sooner but Joseph is teething and laiden with cold so I have not had time!

Thanks for the info. I have been to the Carr Manor play and stay which is good. I am trying to make the most of the nice weather and am going to parks etc. too.

Sorry I'm not much help. I'm in North Leeds also but I must admit I never go to baby groups or anything like that. I think I'm a bit antisocial lol. I hope you find somewhere nice.
