Are we all okay for Friday 13th March? If so, sign-up below. Also, in terms of venue, a few would rather not do a quiz so I'll look out for offers on restaurants (2for1,50%) and post back here.

Oh no sushi! Hope ds is OK.

MrsR - my plan was to leave here about 7, get the bus to Ealing, and then decide whether to cab it or bus it from there. And then get a cab back. What do you think?

slng · 13/03/2009 09:30

Alternatively a cab from here sounds quite good too. Oh no! What to do? Work, for a start, I suppose ...

sfxmum · 13/03/2009 09:53

...

MrsRecycle · 13/03/2009 09:58

Just seen this on the tfl website...does it affect us?

RICHMOND TOWN CENTRE: Due to major upgrade work taking place routes 65, 190, 371, 391, 419, 490, 493, 969, H22, H37, R68, R70 and N22 will be on diversion with major delays occurring from 0800 Friday 6 March until 1700 Friday 3 April.

sfxmum · 13/03/2009 10:04

those are all the buses anyone might possibly use to get into town, think I will take the train, I expect the diversions will not be too bad

pcworld · 13/03/2009 10:10

Hello, I have a voucher. See you later

MrsRecycle · 13/03/2009 10:32

I'm thinking train now as well - does anyone know what Richmond Town Centre is like with the diversions? A taxi will still encounter them surely?

slng · 13/03/2009 10:33

Ah I remember now being stuck in Richmond town centre last Friday. Buses diverted through the green. Don't know if it's better than cab - last time I had to direct the cab driver to Wagamama round the one-way system. He didn't even know there's a one-way system. There's a one way system in EVERY town. I have no faith in cab drivers ever since the advent of sat nav. Rant over.

slng · 13/03/2009 10:37

MrsR - tfl says severe delay on district line but might get better by the end of the day. I think I'd try tube from EB, if this signal failure problem clears up.

MrsRecycle · 13/03/2009 10:40

at not knowing Richmond has a one-way system, that's astonishing. I am totally confused now - train/cab/bus???

OP posts:
sfxmum · 13/03/2009 10:42

slng I hate sat nav ever since a painful drive to hospital while in labour I really wanted to murder the cabbie

MrsRecycle · 13/03/2009 10:43

think train is the best option as well slng. I'll just meet you there then.

OP posts:
MrsRecycle · 13/03/2009 10:44

and you probably would of sfx

OP posts:
rosmerta · 13/03/2009 11:03

Hmm, I'll probably still bus it & then walk from wherever I can get dropped off

sfxmum · 13/03/2009 11:03

yep

dd still busy with whatever I suppose at some point we will actually leave the house

rosmerta · 13/03/2009 11:08

I wouldn't count on it

sfxmum · 13/03/2009 11:13

she just opened her lunch bag 'because I am starving mummy'

SushiMummy · 13/03/2009 14:55

OK, we haven't heard from the nursery so assume DS is OK. See you all later, then!

mygreatauntgriselda · 13/03/2009 15:31

I like these Hee Hee

mygreatauntgriselda · 13/03/2009 15:32

I mean these!

ComeOVeneer · 13/03/2009 15:42

HI all. I won't be coming tonight. The inhouse accountant at dh's firm has ballsed up the tax relief on personal pension contributions and dh has to give the taxman £5600! He has been given a loan (interest free) by the firm but it has to be paid back over the next 4 months. So we have to curb any "unecessary" spending for a while. That means no meals/nights out for a while

Have a good evening!

MrsRecycle · 13/03/2009 15:48

auntie pmsl on the first attempt! You must be bored!

COV - that's terrible, has the accountant been sacked? Shame you can't make it.

Sushi - glad to hear ds is feeling better and you're able to come out - so 9 of us - that's a good turn-out. I won't change the table numbers, just let them know when I arrive.

SushiMummy · 13/03/2009 15:55

Thanks, MrsR!

mellow2 · 13/03/2009 16:51

That is terrible, COV! That must be a sacking offence.

sfxmum · 13/03/2009 16:54
