Hi,

I recently moved to Kingston and am looking to meet other mums, playgroups, story & rhyme, coffee mornings, just general things to do. My son is 1, any suggestions welcome.

Thanks!

Hi MumOfN, how are you?

I am a local nanny (looking for work!!) a mum to my 10 month old daughter and have also just opened up my own parent and child group in Walton on Thames (not far from Kingston)
Where have you moved from?

If you havnt alreay then Id also recommend going on to netmums as they have have a meet-a-mum section which is excellent, I use the Kingston and the North Surrey site.

Take Care

I'm in north Kingston but my children are a bit older than yours. There are tons of baby groups here. Have a look at Family Grapevine magazine for some ideas. You could start with Tumbletots, at the Barnfield Centre. Also I used to take my two to Toddlers Funtime at the Hawker Centre. They have sessions on Wednesday and Friday mornings and my boys loved it.

Also the children's library runs story reading sessions. They'll have a list of dates and times. You could also try Cafe Au Play at the bottom of the Rotunda but people tend to go there with friends so you're unlikely to meet other mums but you can have a coffee while your child plays with the toys.

net mums also have lists of all the groups, and whats on, in and around the kingston area!
