Hi

I'm fine with doing DS's hair in the garden, most times in the "summer." However in winter it must be indoors (huge mess) and even I must admit every so often it needs professional "fixing."

Please tell me there is a nice place to take children to have their hair cut - with little cars or something to sit in, friendly staff, etc etc....have heard of them in the US....surely there must be one here!!!

Ealing has one in a shop called Loop
there used to be one in Daisy and Tom's on the Kings road SW3 but closed now, I have taken my dd to a regular hairdresser in Richmond by the roundabout and one of the staff is goo with children

There's one in Chelsea called Tantrum. They have recently put their prices up so it cost me £20 last time but ds1 won't let me near his hair so it's worth it.

hello there by the way. I'm in Kingston really but just poking my nose in on the Richmond board.

It may be a bit of a journey but there is one in Trotters on the Northcote Road in Battersea. There is a fishtank so they can look at all the fishies and the staff specialise in doing kids' hair. Haven't been myself (DD still hasn't got enough hair to merit a cut ) but I gather it is very good.

Now - how about an adult hairdressers (ideally in Richmond) that is child friendly? My fringe is longer than lots of people's bobs and really needs sorting out, but I never get a chance to do anything without DD, so a hairdressers where she can come and play too would be great.

not child friendly in the way you mean but you might try Robert ALexander in Kew as the staff are freidnly and there is plpenty of room to run around and right by the tube.

I take mine to happy faces on webbs road in clapham it is amazing... I love the staff there and the place looks fab, my little boy loves going there he gets to sit in a noddy car while watching peppa pig!!! Now that?s a fun haircut and it is really well priced I pay £12.50 for him. They do loyalty cards too so you get a free haircut once they are all stamped up, we are already on our second one ;-)

They are only 2 min walk from the Northcote road so I just walk down for a coffee and to have a look in the shops after.

If you do go make sure you go on their mailing list last month they done a FREE HAIRCUT OFFER FOR US ;-)

LOVE IT THERE

Have a look at their site
