Hi
although I have been in the area for a while, I rarely meet mothers who want to discuss anything other than their children or their appearance. Is there anyone out there who wants to meet up in the Saffron Walden/Cambridge area who doesn't care about the shade of anyone's hair dye? It's not that I want to discuss Proust, just get beyond the merits of Tesco over Sainsbury's. My children are 6 and 2.

There is a rather long thread running about Saffron Walden and you may get a response there. Good luck.

I love the idea of this. I'm 46 and my dd is 3. I live in a village quite near to you. The only problem I have is that I have hardly any time available as I'm trying to write up my thesis 3-4 days/week. If you'd like to try and meet up some time you can contact me on [email protected].

Hello there. I always seem to find these threads way too late as I am an intermittent poster. However! I've lived in Saffron Walden for a couple of years or so and I haven't found many people to click with yet. If anyone on here is still interested in meeting up either with or without the children - do let me know. My two are 2yrs and nearly 4years.
Oh, and I would have thought the supermarket query would be the other way around - surely Sainsbury's over Tesco's anytime!! (only joking Ferncottage ).

Hi there - I'd be up for meeting. How old are your children? I'd be happy to meet up with or without mine. Mine are 2 and 3years so will happily play in the park or at a local soft play centre without too much intervention - leaving time for chat. However, if an evening sounds more civilised, I'd be happy to do this.

Let me know your thoughts. Hopefully a couple more will post too!

Laura.

Hi all, I'm 42 and have lived in Saffron Walden for a couple of years. My children are 10 and 4. I am always interested in meeting new people and real conversation. I am free on Wednesdays and Fridays. Soft play/park/evening meet-up would be good.

I hope the trail of this thread hasn't gone cold!

another year, another newcomer....I know you all posted on here a long time ago but I'm a new Sw mum with 2 girls 1 and 5 and wonder if this thread struck any chords as I am looking out for new friends. I am in a village near SW. just finding our feet.
