Thought it might be useful to post recommendations here - also feel free to leave notes for any places to avoid!!!!

My first vote is for John Lewis, staff are very friendly and helpful plus you get a free jar of baby food when you buy a meal.

pizza express is good with a bit older kids. get a drawing pack and the service has always been quick

I lurrrrve the Observatory in Braunstone. It has a really good kids menu, and you get colouring to do!! But then again I'm biased because I used to work there and that's where I met DH!!

Palmers Garden centre in Enderby is also good, but a bit dearer. DDS got a free pen with their meal box. They are also doing a breakfast with santa as well at the moment.

Asda cafe in Fosse Park is dire.

Druckers in the Food Court at Fosse Park is good. Lovely cakes They have a good kids option, sandwich or pizza, salad, drink and a biscuit for about £2. Lots of highchairs too.

Bee's Knee's at the Meridian is quite child friendly, but I wouldn't eat their unless you held a gun to my head!!

BHS at Fosse Park is dire too. Shouldn't really say that as my bro works there, but it is!!

Ask in town was very friendly, plently of highcairs, not sure about the kids menu as DD not quite there yet, however the little boy next to me seemed very pleased with his lunch!

Entropy on Hinckley Road is excellent - high chairs, small portions of adult meals and a toy box, plus table service for stressed out mummies who prefer to sit at the sofa than wait in line to order or pay their bill.

oh used to get very drunk in entropy. would never have thought of going there with ds. will bear it in mind in teh future.

there's a lovely little cafe in Wigston called the feeding rooms - it's run by a lady called Cheryl and has toys, books, colouring etc. Don't know if she's on this but you can find her on netmums lots
