Hello hello, I am about to buy a house off forest road/ palmerston road and am having last minute wobbles - looks like it might be dodgy at night walking back across market from the station? So might do a turnaround and keep looking. The other areas I was looking at are round belgrave road, grove road and jewel road. I would love to hear anyone's opinion of these areas or if not, what its like where they live. Am restricted by needing 3 bed not more than 15 mins from tube and near a good primary. Schools is the first criteria really. I feel ofsted all well and good but word of mouth and go see's better. Does anyone have tales of edinburgh, maynard and greenleaf schools? - I am about to give birth in 7 weeks so need to make a decision fairly...fast. (thats a whole other thread!)
Any help super appreciated!

Hi, do you still need a house?? Ahhh but you are buying. If you wanted to rent there is a 3 bed house in Northcote Road. I quite like this road. We have a few schools nearby, St. Patrick's (my kids are here and I love it), Stoneydown, Mission Grove and Coppermill. It is good to have the tube, Blackhorse road, and the overground, St. James st., close. We are of course close to the park too. BUT, to be honest, all Walthamstow is dodgy. I never walk home on my own at night. Still I like to live here, only I hope to move out when the kids are a bit older.

Oh thanks for that! I liked Walthamstow but we had to pull out of the purchase as chain collapsed...happy days. Only I could need to move during a global financial crisis.
So, we have had a radical rethink and are prob going to go to Dorking now!! We hoped to move out when kids were older too and just can't afford to live in london anymore so why not bite the bullet eh? Fingers crossed and thanks for reply.
