Recommendations for careful packing services for glassware on the Isle of Wight

I'm looking for a steer from locals on the IoW. A relative has left me some glassware that I need to get packed well enough that it will survive a trip by courier to Ireland. Are there any moving companies who you would recommend as being really careful? Or any pack and deliver companies on the island who would pack and courier? (The courier bit is the easy bit to organise, the packing not so much!) Thank you.

I buy ceramics at auction and occasionally have to get it couriered. It can be very expensive as clearly if not packed correctly can get easily broken. I also sell ceramics and imo glass is the worst item to pack and sell. Very tricky to get covered for insurance, normally fully excluded. I was going to suggest Mailboxes for a quote, but they dont look to be based on the island. But worth seeing if a Hampshire franchise could help. But in all truthfulness it will be very expensive. Is it worth it?

Lacey’s are excellent. I’ve used then for a few moves.

I get what you're saying socialdilemma but it is a bit more emotionally complicated than just the cost or value. These glasses were wedding presents to her, being left to me as she doesn't have a daughter (or any children). It is the only item specified in her will. It feels totally off to say "Feck it I don't want it as it is too much hassle and cost". That said, do I wish she had shipped it to me while she was still alive? Yep! It isn't the kind of thing you can bring back on a plane so this is the only option I have. I do appreciate your honesty and candour though.

Thanks BlondFool. I'll see if they would pack these. The courier bit is relatively easy. The packing, less so!
