Advice needed on whether to move

I currently live in Shropshire and Im considering moving to Bewdley/Kidderminster area. I have some family there but I don't know the area well.

I like where I am currently, although I do need to move house anyway because we need more space. I don't have any support here, but my kids are quite settled.

My eldest is in the final yr of primary school, so I want to make any moves soon, to try and reduce disruption. My eldest does not want to move. He wants to go to the same school as his friends. My youngest wants to be closer to family, but she is settled in an excellent school (yr 2).

I like the idea of having some family closer but I keep having doubts about making a move to an unfamiliar area. The whole process of selling, buying and school applications, while also parenting and working full-time and doing it on my own, feels a lot. I want the best for my children and the time pressure of secondary school admission is getting to me. I have visited and it seems nice but it is difficult to get a feel for a place on odd days out.
Does anyone have any advice? Does anyone know both/either area?

Before making any decision you need to visit the area, can you afford house moving costs? Will you have to find a job?
Have you spoken to your family about moving closer and will they offer the support you need.

I have visited a lot and it seems nice but smaller than where I am now. I didn't fall in love with the area and desperately want to move, but I don't feel completely in love with my current area. I have joined social media groups in the new area but there are mixed feelings about the area. Some very positive community posts but also a lot of moaning and negativity (Im sure that would be the same for all areas).

I have looked at houses and I can afford the area but not much comes up.

I can keep my job because my commute will be around 10 minutes longer each way. I work remotely 3 days a week.

Family want me to move and say they will help, but I am well aware that life gets busy and people have their own things going on.
