Phoenix · 05/06/2008 19:58

I'm back

for boy Knickers.

for bumpy Hiccy.

Monday night and Tuesday were very wet and the tent material isn't very good and leaked slightly but not in the bedroom area and it was only the odd drip in not continual leaks, thank god. But we still really enjoyed it . The site was nice and we'll def go back. I'll be putting some photo's on Facebook later if you want a nose .

We've turned the camera on when we got home and it's f**ked All the screen's got cracks in it so it's somewhere inside. Gonna see if it's worth fixing or getting a new one. It is (well was )a nice camera and we can't really afford a new one but we need one

Hope everyone's ok

I'm not at all hopeful re the camera. We'll take it to see how much it'll cost. But i've reserved one from Curry's just in case (secretly i hope it'll cost loads to fix so i can have a new one ))

THREAD HIJACK!
Hi girls, hope you don?t mind me asking ? its 5 years since we left Wakefield to live overseas and I am hoping to have DS1 3rd Birthday party there in August ? I NEED SUGGESTIONS please! I haven?t got a clue!
TIA

wotulookinat · 06/06/2008 10:58

Hi escape
What sort of places were you thinking of? There are a few soft play areas around, and pubs that have kids areas that do parties (and the grown-ups can have a drink or two!).

trace2 · 06/06/2008 13:35

sorry ladies barbies of my oldist ddas just rang from her hols crying when she gets home she as to move out of her appartment her and her friend have fallen out big style so ill be helping her come home from tomorrow we have to find some where to store her things as there no room here and she have to have chloes room. again sorry i will have one some other time

OP posts:
wotulookinat · 06/06/2008 15:06

no worries, Trace - you concentrate on your DD. It's a good job you're super-mum, eh?

trace2 · 06/06/2008 15:13

thanks wota, so worried she dont fly out till tonight back home! i really feel for her nonone wants to go back to mums but sheas no choice, whats pissed me of is the flat mate was moving out afew weeks back bu said to dd if you come on holiday with me ill stay with you, so now dd as spent her money on the holiday shes skint and no way she can live there on her own

sorry just ranting i have no one to talk to as carnt tell dad wi him being ill

OP posts:
wotulookinat · 06/06/2008 15:15

Rant away, Trace! Could she advertise for another flatmate and stay there?
I'd love to live with my mum. I'd get all my washing done and everything is always tidy. Sadly, she said no to me, Jon, DS, the dog, the cat and the rabbit coming to live with how. How unreasonable is that!

trace2 · 06/06/2008 15:31

yes she could but she can not afford to stay thereeven for a week on her own i am not saying it will be easy her being here we have no room, but i aways said i would have them back if needed i think its whats familys for helping each other (even though my family dont help me)

What pubs are there ex. Walnut at Sandal and alder Island - Haven't been to a party there (alder Island)

wotulookinat · 06/06/2008 18:57

There's the Stanley Ferry, which is a two for one, like the Walnut tree. The pub and restaurant are a bit rubbish and the bar staff are crap, but the Wacky Warehouse staff are lovely and the parties look like fun.
I don't know of any other pubs in the area with kiddie areas, I'm afraid.

Phoenix · 06/06/2008 19:10

I don't think Calder Island has a play area anymore cos it's a Toby Carvery now. I can't think of anymore either. There's obviously Cheeky Monkeys soft play. Or hire out a hall and let them run around or get a bouncy castle or bouncy slide.

wotulookinat · 07/06/2008 10:03

Has anyone heard from NorwichMummy? She hasn't been on for ages - I hope nothing bad has happened in her new house
