Are there any playgroups for toddlers in Battersea/Clapham area?

I was wondering if any of you know if there are any playgroups around - ones that you can drop in to.
The aim is for me to meet some Mums and for my DD (2yrs) to meet some people as well. Although not new to area, we've spent the last 2 years being fairly itinerant so really don't have a network yet. And I'm afraid she's totally bored with me all the time! (I only say this 'cos I'd like some fresh conversation too!!!).

(I live off Lavender Hill. So prepared to go to Balham/Wandsworth if needs be!)

Here's three really near you-
-Mum and Toddler Group every Monday 10 - 11:30 in the Lower hall of The Battersea Arts Centre on Lavender Hill. Entrance is right round the back of the building. It's a drop in and costs about £2.
-Another one is at St. Paul's Church hall, corner of Rectory Grove and Iveley Rd, Clapham Old Town SW4 every Thursday during term time 9:45 - 11:45. drop in and costs £2.
-Another is St. John's Church on Clapham High St. just past Clapham North tube, every Wed at 10am-12 noon. Drop in; costs £2. Entrance at the very back of the church.
See you there!

Hiya,
How old are your DC's? I've got a DS age 2 and a half. My dh works Saturdays so if you're pulling your hair out and bored I'd be happy to meet tomorrow Clapham Common. There's a sale on at Trinty Hospice 2-4pm on Clpahm Common Northside- bit of a wierd jumble sale type affair, crocheted blankets for a fiver, etc.

peasoup · 16/05/2008 13:24

Oops, just spotted your DD is 2. Perfect. Give me a shout if you're still bored.

fairypeeps · 17/05/2008 09:24

Hello Charx sounds like a good plan to me! Tues or Thurs after 2pm would be best for us, what about you?

charx · 19/05/2008 08:33

Hey Charx, Sorry to hear you had bad news Tuesday sounds great Clapham Common is best theres the swings or there's an nice enclosed grassy area just for kids near the bandstand, which ever you would prefer

charx · 19/05/2008 13:59

thank you. how about near the bandstand? My DD has a green ball with ladybirds on - a great favorite - we'll take that! Also look for bright red mountain buggy. x
