On Wednesday 7th August between 10:00 - 15:30 the School of Computing at Newcastle University are hosting a free day where parents can bring their children to take part in a range of computer science activities.
On the day there will be the following activities:
Network boxes: How does the web work? – Ages 7+
mBot2: Block-based programming – Ages 7+
Turing Tumble: Marble powered computers – Ages 8+
Programming a Minecraft world in Python – Ages 11+
Spirographs: Creating graphics using Python Turtles? – Ages 11+
mBot2: Python programming – Ages 11+
Arduino robot: C++ programming – Ages 15+
All of the activities will run concurrently, and people can drop-in and out of sessions as and when they want to.
