Sorry just sitting hear waiting for DH to get home...using lap top as a distration!! He is a bit delayed by hampton court flower show. Please do go ahead if you want, I hate mucking people about. But then pregnancy is not something we have much control over is it! I so did not want LO to come early! I am just not ready!!!

Amanda78 · 10/07/2008 14:13

Hopefully DH has arrived home by now! You are not mucking me about at all, like you say it's hardly anything you can control!

You may not be ready but things will all fall into place!

Thoughts are with you and look forward to hearing from you!

Hello

I thought I'd just invite you all along to the Walton & Hersham NCT event this Friday (25th) - members & non-members both very welcome. It's 2-4pm, at St Peters Church Hall (on the Green in Hersham, opposite Liliputs' nursery). We've got a bouncy castle, free music and movement session, refreshments, as well as craft tables, cake stall, a fab raffle & a local photographer taking bargain snaps!

If you want to know more, call Cara on 07980 236 839

funnypeculiar · 22/07/2008 10:30

Oohh, just spotted that CilC may have an extra baby - hope all went well

meercat71 · 26/07/2008 23:39

Hi there
If you fancy meeting a few mums, come along to the Jack and Jill playgroup. Normally it's at St mary's CHurch on Monday mornings but during the summer hols it's in Weybridge Park (behind the library next to the car park) - the first one is on Monday 4th August from 10-12 - they all meet under the big tree...
There's Little Gems too in Hersham at St Peter's Church Hall on Tuesday afternoons.
Hope that's helpful
C x

Hello all. Just sticking my oar in as I'm in Epsom so not too far. I have a 6mo DD. Have I missed the boat for coffee/parks etc?

CilC · 03/08/2008 20:11

Thanks funnypeculiar - yes have had second baby! All well. Thanks for invite - unfortunately I missed your message and just discovered today.

Hi Amanda78 - hope all is well with you! Hopefully we can catch up now that my little one is out!

Hi Eyeballs and thanks for info meercat!

Amanda78 · 03/08/2008 22:29

Hi CilC - Congratulations to you! Glad all went well. Yes, lets get something arranged - let me know when you are free

Hi Eyeballs - sorry for late reply! You def have not missed the boat - maybe we could arrange a mutual date for us all to meet somewhere?

CilC · 04/08/2008 10:01

Amanda, can not recall when you work. I am free this Friday afternoon. If weather nice how about meeting at Hampton Court cafe then walking over to swings in Bushy Park. Does 2.30 on 8th August suit?
Eyeballs do you know where this is? You are welcome to join us. Let me know if you would like parking details etc.
To anyone else lurking please feel to join.

surreygirl · 04/08/2008 17:02

Hi, I'm lurking - am also in Epsom!

Not about this Fri though but defo up for meeting up with other local Mums.

First time older Mum with DS of 6 months, so a late starter! Not originally from round here - I worked in London until Xmas so don't know loads of other local Mums. The people I've met through my antenatal group are mostly going back to work part-time soon but I'm being made redundant - which I'm very pleased about! - so I plan to be a stay at home Mum for a couple of years until DS is 3.... would be great to have other people to meet up for coffee with as otherwise I know I will be just fixed up with Phil and Fern all autumn when everyone else is working! Will keep an eye open for when you're next meeting up!

EyeballsintheSky · 04/08/2008 17:04

Surreygirl, where did you have DS? We were probably screaming in Epsom hospital at the same time!

surreygirl · 04/08/2008 17:28

Yes we may have been?!

I had DS in Epsom General early Feb. Bit of an experience, had induction due to high b/p, but thankfully labour was very short-5 hours in total.

EyeballsintheSky · 04/08/2008 17:39

Sounds the same as mine but she was in Jan so a few weeks ahead. I was induced due to her supposedly being large (8lb 10oz ) and my labour was 4 hours. Maybe they specialise in speedy deliveries there!

surreygirl · 04/08/2008 17:49

They thought my DS would be big - and he was 7lbs 9 though...

Apparently they do a high number of C-sections and inductions... as well as speedy ones!

Amanda78 · 04/08/2008 21:08

Welcome Surreygirl, Hi again Eyeballsinthesky!

CilC, Can't do Friday I'm afraid - can do Monday 11th anytime if that works for you and everyone else of course?

Hampton Ct Cafe then Bushy Park sounds like a great plan though! Until my maternity leave starts the best time for me is Mon and Fridays. Generally PM's but can do mornings if need to! Maternity leave starting mid October so can meet anytime then... not that I'm counting

CilC · 04/08/2008 22:04

Oh Shame! I will be away on Monday! Off to stay with friends in Oxfordshire! Will get back to you when I am back!

Amanda78 · 06/08/2008 20:11

Hi Cilc,

Oh shame about Friday. Can you meet for an hour or so in Molesey over weekend? Would be nice to finally meet! Otherwise will look forward to hearing from you when you return from Oxford!

CilC · 07/08/2008 21:08

Yes I am around Saturday - until about 2pm then off to a child's birthday party!

Let me know where and when!

Amanda78 · 09/08/2008 09:07

Hi Cilc,

Checked on Thursday eve for reply but must have just missed you! Couldn't get onto mumsnet yesterday so only just seen your reply. Can you still meet this morning?

CilC · 10/08/2008 15:53

Hi Amanda - we miss again! LOL

Jonesy08 · 28/08/2008 10:27

Hi, I think I might be a little late for this thread. I have just moved to East Molesey with my 23mo daughter and expecting again at the end of Oct. We would love to meet with other Mums as are feeling a bit alien here and are yet to find our feet!

Amanda78 · 28/08/2008 21:10

Hi Jonesy,

Not too late at all! I too live in East Molesey, have a little girl almost 23 months and am expecting early Nov!

Are you new to the area then? What part of Molesey are you from?

Happy to meet up if you fancy!

Jonesy08 · 29/08/2008 12:44

Hi Amanda,

Thanks for the reply. We live on Esher Road. Also starting NCT refresher course next Tues in Claygate...is that the one you're doing?!

Let me know what suits you. Looks like your time is more limited than mine, although I'm away next Fri.

Amanda78 · 29/08/2008 13:08

Hi Jonesy,

Esher Road - is that the road that splits with Ember Lane by the Police ground? Sounds like we are very close!

No shame - my NCT refresher doesn't start until 25th Sept and is in Esher. Being held at the tutors home which I understand is very close to Marnies pub.

Yeah my time is limited at moment as I'm still working! 7 weeks and counting! Can do monday morning (1st) if good for you? Otherwise not until 12th Sept.

Have you already started maternity leave or are you lucky enough to be a SAHM?

Jonesy08 · 29/08/2008 13:50

Monday morning sounds good. We are usually ready to get out at 9.30-10ish. Do you want to meet somewhere around Hampton Court - Mada Deli?
