From 27th June 2022, "Motorists caught driving in cycle lanes on roads managed by Transport for London (TfL) are to be fined from Monday, the transport body has said.
New powers have been given to the authority and other London boroughs to fine drivers who cross the solid white lines which mark cycle tracks."
As someone who sometimes cycles, I welcome this news but I wonder why it's only being enforced now. Do you think road users in London will take notice of this new rule? Will it make you feel safer cycling in London?
