Anyone got/ know of 4 spare bedrooms in August?

I said to my DD that I’d see if I could invoke the infamous power of mumsnet to help her:

DD and 7 uni friends (7 girls, 1 male aged 20-25) are very serious about their professional futures in comedy /drama and are taking a show they have already written to the Edinburgh fringe for the whole of August. The venue is confirmed (Royal Mile) and they are looking for accommodation. It seems a bit of a nightmare with agencies not responding etc.

They have limited funds so are planning to each share a room so 4 beds, or more would be great if budget allows.

Does anyone have or know of any suitable accommodation or best place/ agency to approach? They are a lovely group who and can provide references if needed.

Youth Hostel? There are campsites within a bus journey, some of which pop up for the Fringe. They might not want to camp for a whole month though. That said - are they really going to put their show on the whole Fringe? I'd guess that's costly, and it's hard enough to get an audience full stop, never mind for that many nights.

You might do better on the Scotsnet page, tends to get more traffic.
