Just moved to Stevenage, want to meet friends!!!

Try the local NCT groups. I don't believe you have to be a member, but even if you do, it's probably worth the money.

pheebs - there are loads of toddler groups in Hitchin. Have you been to any? The one that I know best is MAMA (part of a national organisation, though the national part isn't really active at the moment). It takes part in Christchurch (opposite Waitrose) on a Friday morning, from 10am - 12 noon. Your first visit is free, so if you don't like it then you've lost nothing. After that it's either £10 annual membership and then £1 each time you go, or £2.50 each time if you don't want to become a member.
