Nice places to live in Gosport/Fareham area

Hi! I am starting a new job in Gosport and we are looking for a place to stay. We have 2 small children (3&6). I have been researching a lot online but can’t decide for a particular area. I’ve read Fareham it’s nicer than Gosport and we consider Fareham as well. I would like to be able to cycle to work (gosport city center) so I need a place close to Gosport. My kids love the beach so I am also considering places near the beach. Could you please help me with some advice regarding the nicer areas for a family? Many thanks!

Titchfield is nice, and Locks Heath not bad either. Wickham’s also nice, and in Fareham itself there used to be some nice places around the Kiln Road area

Alverstoke is absolutely lovely but expensive!

Lee and Stubbington are also nice.

Lee on Solent or Alverstoke would be great depending on your budget. Stubbington is also nice and there are some good primary schools. I wouldn't personally want to cycle from Titchfield, the traffic/driving can be a bit crazy.

If you fancy a bit of a different commute how about the Isle of Wight,

Alverstoke is lovely, stokes bay beach, good schools, nice community feel, lots going on for little ones and families - Halloween trail, sailing club (for all ages) messy church, brownies/beavers etc etc. Quick bike ride to Gosport town centre and the ferry.

Alverstoke is really lovely I grew up in Stubbington and moved to S London and would be tempted to move back but nice areas can be expensive.

If you can afford it it is the obvious choice.

Alverstoke. It’s a wonderful place to bring up children.
