Primary & Secondary Schools in York - what's your advice?

Hello! We're looking to move back to York after several years away. We now have 2 children so schools are a big part of our life and the plan!

We'll need to find a primary for our y5 DD2 who is autistic - she's fine in mainstream education, but quite anxious so we're keen to find a primary school that has good switched on SEN support and ideally leads to a similarly supportive secondary school for her near-ish future.

Y7 DD1 will need a secondary right now - perfect world would be one that would also suit DD2. DD1 is quite an academic sort, pretty shy, likes the creative side of life.

So far the secondaries we're looking at are Fulford, Millthorpe, Manor CE, Archbishop Holgate.

Are we missing anywhere? Has anyone got good/bad experiences to report? Primary and secondary schools. Thank you so much

On the north side of York Huntington and jo ro are both good schools with many great primary schools feeding in to them. I know jo ro has a good sen department. From my limited knowledge, fulford has a good sen department but have limited places but I think jo ro’s department is much bigger.

This is currently me exactly, secondary not primary though.
Looking at the exact same schools.
Can I ask what was your decision in the end?
