Any ideas for boy's birthday party (age 4) in January around Greenwich/Woolwich? CaNNOT have this at home. Please, any ideas would be most welcome - I'm hoping someone else has had more interesting and creative ideas than me.

hi, firepower museum in woolwich do army/soldier parties i think. been for walk down there and seen them marching around. looked like kids having gr8 fun. something to think about????

My son had a 7th birthday party at the Firepower museum and he really enjoyed it. It was well organised but I think your 4 year old could be on the young side for this. At my son's party, real soldiers put them through marching drills and they got shouted at (in fun)by sergeant major types. A couple of the quieter children found it a bit overwhelming. The museum probably adapts what it does to suit younger children but you need to check this.

Other suggestions for Greenwich/Woolwich - The Waterfront Leisure Centre do good parties (some with a football theme). Or you could hire out a hall and organise your own from there - there's nice hall (toddler play clubs use it a lot AFAIK) at Greenwich Pleasuance with an enclosed playground. Or Tigers Eye indoor playcentre at Thamesmead shopping centre. May be a bit far out for you, but easy to get to. It is a really popular place for parties - we have been to lots there and my son always enjoys them.
Other possible places for parties - David Beckham Academy or Filmworks.

ds had one there a couple of years ago when he was 6.
they do themed party he had pirates and prinsess.
