So, what happened to joining with the other one on 1st Feb in Richmond?

I have commited to that one and another London meet-up on 18th of Jan. And I do really hate to miss a meet up but I don't think the budget (or DH) will go for three so close together. So, if this one is at Escale, then I'll have to miss it.

Or we would could steer this one back onto the earlier plan of joining the other Richmond meet-up. There was bit of a hijack here.

Ele I have gone to the trouble of organising something so would rather not if you don't mind. TBH I would rather go ahead with this as we have lots of people signed up.

I would have more appreciation for your efforts if you hadn't hijacked the conversation in order to make the arrangements. That was a bit naughty.

I also think that if you have two meet-ups in Richmond so close to one another there will inevitably be people who were going to go to both but will then back out of one. And I don't want the rest of the West London crowd to feel like they are being put in a position to choose between the two.

So it seems reasonable that either one meet-up move dates to say end of Feb or early Jan., or the meet ups merge onto a date convenient for both of the organisers.

Ele why are you trying to create a row?

You hijacked the original thread with your link. One or two people signed up for the Feb meet, no one else did. I looked at the Feb meet and decided I would rather meet with the west London friends who I know that to tag along with a meet up essentially organised by munsnetters I have never met, none of whome live near me, who just happen to be meeting in Richmond.

I posted a suggestion of a good local restaurant and some dates and seven people have signed up.

Now you go to your one in Feb and leave us to meet please and stop trying to ride roughshod over everyone else. You are perfectly within your rights to prioririse other meet ups over this one, but please don't try and bully me or anyone else into not meeting, just because you have prioritised your other arrangements.

This is very similar to what you tried to do with CoV's meet up, when you just rode rough shod over all her efforts.
