Creche / nurseries / childminders in Victoria Park area?

Hi guys,

I'm starting to look at childcare in the Victoria park area.
I work in the City - will return to work 4 or 5 days a week (care form 8:30 - 6:30) and when I return to work my baby will only be 6 months old.
Ideally I'd like to put my child in a creche.

Has anybody got any good tips for childcare in the Victroia park area? I can't seem to find anything!

Have you tried this link?

My understanding would be that you'll probably need a nursery or childminder - creche as its used here tends to mean short term provision eg a creche while parents go to a meeting, or sometimes aimed at shoppers, rather than a regular nursery place.

get a full list of all childcare providers in Hackney (childminders, nurseries, etc) from the Learning Trust www.learningtrust.co.uk/

then it's a case of ringing round and visiting!

in my experience, I prefer a childminder as they are more flexible with hours, and give that familiar one-to-one care. but lots of my friends are happy with their nurseries and the stimulation they provide as the child gets older...

I am not sure about Vic park, I hear there is a montessori at Hackney wick.

As you work in the city, there's a leapfrog ( soon to be busy bees) nursery in between Broadgate- Moorgate open 7 til 19.00hrs.

I can't offer any feedback on these though.
