Hey all, I’ve lived in Milton Keynes for a few years now, mum to a 6 yr old boy and a 4 month old boy. I find it impossible to make friends in the local area as I have always made my friends whilst out drinking (college and uni) and that is much harder with kiddies in tow! I’m quite shy ordinarily and find the mums at my older sons school don’t really chat to anyone (they seem to already know each other) so after several years, I still don’t have any local mates! I’m 38, I love house and garage music, having a dance to a cheesy disco, watching live bands, and going to the pub for a few drinks. I drag my partner and kids out with me most of the time and that’s sort of okay but I need some grown up time too! So if you if you either want to go to the pub for a couple of drinks in the day on weekends (with kids if you have to) or want to meet someone for grown up conversation, please let me know! I’m looking for both as my partner has not made any friends either and all we have is our old best mates from our teens who we barely see these days. 😊 Please do not judge, I realise not everyone agrees with kids at pubs and drinking when you’re a mum etc but that’s how I grew up and I’m not ashamed to say my kids come to the pub once a week! 😊
