New to Stevenage at the end of August and went straight into work and new school! Drop my son off early and pick him up late (as I work) and so don't get to see any mums at the school. :-(

Have a nine year old boy, who I am enrolling in clubs and stuff, but don't seem to be meeting anyone - everyone has their friends already!

We've been here a while and had our daughter in Stevenage, so my wife has met a lot of people through NCT groups. As your boy is older, that doesn't really help you much, I'm afraid.

Yes, that was the main problem, with Tom being older. Paired with the fact that I work so I don't have time to hang around the school gates although, again, as he's older the mums tend not to be around anyway!

Work has been cool - it's pretty sociable, and I've made one good friend from Tom's class so I'm not completely bereft!

Settling in well - and this place is a godsend!
