Thanks for the suggestion 3missys....here goes!

Could we have a post that lists baby friendly restaurants/places in Chelmsford..... know a few but always want to hear more!

So shall start with my one.... Tropical wings in South Woodham Ferrers..... Excellent place and has lovely tea rooms... toddlers love the animals and they have home-made cakes for the mums!

Cafe Rouge is nice when we have saved up our tesco vouchers!

Marriages Mill Craft centre (by the flyover) does lovely lunches.

Lloyds no.1 bar used to be great for a cheap coffee but you can't take kids in there unless you are buying a meal now (or so the management told me when I last went in there)

BB's (meadows)is much nicer now you can't smoke in there.

BHS brilliant for breakfast for kids of all ages.

I only speak as I find. If you think differently then please help us build up a picture of what's going on in the 'birthplace of radio'!

Great thanks..... We must find more Chelmsford mums! All my mummy mates are on facebook! (Although I have yet to become a member!)

Bumping for all you chelmsford mummies! Where do you go in chelmsford for a cuppa/lunch with your littlies?

That remionds me - the duck pond in Writtle has a free car park and is great on a dry day for a quick breath of fresh air. And there is a chippy if you don't fancy making a picnic

Welcome bubbsy! My dd is 2.5 but I know there are mums with little ones on here as you can see in the meet-a-mum section. I go to Melbourne Parent and baby group if you are interested.

Hi! I have two girls, 23 months and 7 months. Can only meet up one day a week as I work 4 days a week plus have other commitments but if you are intersted let me know. I live in the Tile Kiln area in Chelmsford.

HI, i often take 2.5 DS to Crazy Kids in Braintree (next to Freeport) Its really cheap and great fun.

I am on waiting list for toddler gym in Springfield.

White Hart on Sainsburys has kids bit attached.

Kidspace in Romford is FANTASTIC!!!

I like to take my DS to Starbucks!!! he loves it, babycino (steamed milk) is free and he has a cookie if hes been good!

Strada is really good in town...they are great with kids. Good food for children in there. On The Square is good too, good selection of kids food. Very accomodating.

I tend to grab a coffe and sandwich and eat in central park (the one with the little playground) while DS plays in park, then i carry on with shopping after hes worn out and sleeping!
