Hi mums,

We are moving to Cambridge in June and looking for a catchment area for Chesterton college. Our son will be at Y6 in September and we also looking at good Primary schools. We were offered a good house at Verulam Way, Can you, please, advise whether it is a safe area to live - the house is really good inside and outside according to video, but we cant go and see it personally. Also, I`ve seen that the closest school is the Arbury school. Any feedbacks about the school? Many thanks for your help, appreciate it much!!! Irina

Arbury school seems pretty good and there are quite a few primary schools to choose from on the area

The verulum way area and arbury have quite a distinct character. Some people love it there, others not so much. We have great friends who live in the area and love it. Id not be happy there.

I'd advise you go and wonder round there and get a feel for it. I think it's really important to see the area.

If your son is very academic, I would recommend Kings hedges primary school. DS is currently at the school, his comment is" I don't like my school, I LOVE my school!"

Arbury school is great from what I hear. I have a friend whose daughter just left year 6 there and she always looks very happy indeed.
