Hi, we currently live abroad and are looking to move back to herts (most probably Welwyn Garden City) in the summer and we are looking to send the kids aged 7 and 10 (going into years 3 and 6) to independent schools but I’m not sure how feasible it will be from WGC.
I wanted to see if many parents did this from WGC and what the school runs/drives/bus were like? I am currently a SAHM so can drive them in though I’m not thrilled at the prospect of spending hours in the car at rush hour on taxi service!
Their previous primary comprehensives have no places available and we are not keen on sending them to Stanborough for secondary.
We have been looking at (primaries) Duncombe, Sherrardswood, Alwickbury and (secondaries) St Christopher’s, Haileybury... open to ideas.
