Can you help me find somewhere in Bucks?
I am looking for a suitable place to host a family event for adults with great food, good wines, nice atmosphere, some character & charm – all high on the wish list.
The current guest list is estimated at 12 adults & 12 children. The adults are the priority guests but I want the children to have a fun time playing for a couple of hours without adults in the way.
Ideally, a hotel or good country dining pub within the Bucks area bounded by M4, M25, M40 to just west of A404 (e.g. Marlow, Henley-On-Thames), or within a reasonable 10-15 car/taxi ride from Slough/Maidenhead/Reading rail stations.
I am looking for somewhere with good reception rooms & access to an established play area for children or there be room(& willing) for a ‘bouncy castle’ inflatable.
Local wedding websites offer lovely locations BUT the minimum number of guests required mean our small gathering is not of interest or the minimum spend is prohibitively expensive.
Any suggestions or recommendations from local MNetters are most welcome.
