Hi all,
OK so I've volunteered to be the 'tsarina' for Hammersmith & Fulham... all suggestions most welcome! We certainly have lots to do in and around this borough, so I'll be trying to list as many attractions as I can, for those days when you're bored with staying in and fancy trying something new. I have a 4 year old boy and a 7-month old girl by the way, so have plenty of experience of the toddlers' activities around.

I grew up in this borough and know it fairly well. If you've just moved here or have any questions, or if you want to meet other mums, why not post here?

I thought it might be nice to arrange a meet-up, and will start another thread now to see if anyone's interested. I'm always up for meeting new people.

See you around!

Hi Indimummy
I'd offer to help, but I am leaving the area in 12 days to move to North London.
Just wanted to bump this for you. I'm sure there must be lots of H&F mummies out there...

ScaryHairy · 08/08/2007 23:21

sorry for spelling your name wrong. I'm on the rose...

Hi
Just logged onto local pages for the first time and thought I would say hello. first time mum to Gina who is now 7 weeks and have passed the initial blind panic phase to now keeping my head above water, just. But let me know if I can help in anyway with making the site as useful as poss.

I also have a quick question, not sure if it appropriate to post here - nothing dodgy -- but does anyone know where I can find a comprehensive listing of nurseries in the area. I am fulham based and although it is early days, I know that time will fly.

Look forward to using this site and hopefully meeting some more mums!!

Shushka

Hi, thought I would say hello too! My twin boys are just over 6 weeks old and I would be really up for meeting other mums with babies at baby-friendly (and double buggy-friendly!)places within walking distance of West Ken / Barons Court. I actually logged onto local pages just now to see if there are any listings for mums and babies type groups so if anyone knows of any, please let me know!

soniamc · 21/09/2007 15:28

Hello

Th Ofsted website is a good place to start - it lists all local childcare from nurseries to childminders.

bellabelly · 22/09/2007 23:55

Thanks, I'll have a look.

AnybodyHomeMcFly · 11/10/2007 17:11

Hammersmith and Fulham council Child Information Services do a handout with full list of nurseries and another for childminders. Hang on, I'll dig out the number....

Hi there, I live just off the Askew Road, with my two boys aged 2.5 and 10 months. I think this is a geat area to bring up kids - loads to do. Would be really interested in a meetup!

Hi All
Just joined mumsnet and am in a quagmire of exhaustion with 2yr 4m old and 7 month, both with major sleep issues! AAaargh. Husband has just lost the will to live & demanded we get extra help before our family implodes, SO

  1. I'm definitely up for meeting people who may be able to say "there there, I know how you feel, mind don't Bl*y sleep through either
  2. Does anyone out there have a delightful au pair/nanny who needs some extra work on Thursdays/Fridays for a few hours?!

We live near Wendell Park - mazzyo is that near you?

millseyb · 20/11/2007 10:03

Hi All, I am new on here, just started another thread before I'd seen this one. But I am very interested in meeting up with other Mums................ I am pregnant with my first so don't mind helping out other Mums whilst on maternity leave either - help keep me sane - or not as the case may be............... bxxx

mushychutney · 07/01/2008 17:32

Hi IndieMummy, I'm a little late to the game but just had a baby in Dec and would love to meet up if there's something going on around here. I am near the Parsons Green area if anyone else is around here too?

Ozz · 09/01/2008 14:14

Hi, I live in parsons green and am due next week..so will keep an eye on this thread for future meet up possibilities once the manic first weeks are over.

bellabelly · 11/01/2008 00:12

Hi all - haven't checked this thread for ages! I am still up for meeting other local mums - if anyone can suggest a date and buggy-friendly venue that is within walking distance of North End Road, I will be there! Maybe somewhere round Parsons Green would be good? I don't mind quite a LONG walk though, frankly I could use the exercise...

PS Ozz, good luck with it all!

NunnyMummy · 24/01/2008 22:57

Hi all, just joined Mumsnet and wondering if anyone would be keen to meet up at Ravenscourt Park? Maybe the Old Ship by the river for a brunch? (or just a good walk along the thames!) I live in Hammersmith/Chis area.

mushychutney · 05/02/2008 22:21

Hi bellabelly, if you're still up for meeting, let me know. I am at the Parsons Green area and I know a couple of places that are buggy-friendly, even double ones!

bellabelly · 07/02/2008 09:52

Hi mushychutney, yes that would be nice! Let's arrange a date (preferably when the forecast looks ok-ish and not too rainy) - Tuesdays and Thursdays are hard for me at the mo - what days are good for you?

Ozz · 08/02/2008 13:11

hi bellabelly and mushychutney..I would be up for a meet up in parsons green as well..my little one is now over two weeks old and I feel I got the hang of it now (famous last words)! Any weekday is good for me.

mushychutney · 08/02/2008 19:58

bellabelly, ozz - have created a new thread for possible meet up location, date, time: Parsons Green meet up

bellabelly · 09/02/2008 23:41

Great - will look at exciting new thread!

bellabelly · 09/02/2008 23:47
