Market Harborough - a good place to live?

Hi everyone

I was wondering if there was anyone on here who lives in Market Harborough and could tell me what the place is like to live there? We are potentially looking at moving next year but I have no idea about the area.

We have a 4 month old so would love to join some baby groups. Is it a friendly place to live for families? Does anyone know of any local family Facebook groups I could join?

I moved to Harborough 9 years from London and love it. It's getting bigger and fairly expensive but it's still great.

Loads to do for babies and kids. There's a really good FB group called "KinFo Market Harborough" which gives loads of detail on what's on and when etc.

It's really gone downhill which is a shame, there are a lot of traveller sites there now and a lot more crime. Schools aren't the greatest either. There is a lot of trouble in the centre at night, plus they are now building 1000s of new houses so market harb lubenham etc will merge into a new small "town".

It's nice enough but theres a few elements that have now made it "rough"
