Just wanted to say that this is such a great place to take toddlers who are learning to walk. There are big open spaces to run around and ramps for them to go up and down. There is a gated space for tinies and lots of interactive stuff too. The only thing to watch out for is the fact that the stairs are open but otherwise it is a perfect palce to tak a toddler in this wet weather.

There's a good cafe around the corner, too, if you're unimpressed with the cafe in the museum - it's on Old Ford Road, and called the Museum Cafe. Vegetarian, good food, child friendly.

Oh, and Canary Wharf is ok for this too. Ramps, not many stairs, clean and dry. You get some funny looks if you take a crawling baby/toddler there, and just set it free (well, and walk behind it), but :-P to them.
