Dear parents....I am sure many of you are already aware of the recent sexual assault taken place by teenagers on teenagers in Richmond Upon Thames-the second safest London borough.

Two of the suspects are identified as being pupils of two local secondary schools. The head teachers have admitted to know these students. I would like to urge all parents to take extra care and provide emotional support to children in this tough time. I personally know two students who are too scared to walk to school now. Most importantly, I would like to urge you to ask your head teachers what measures have been taken to provide pastoral care for students. We might like to think our children tell us everything but my personal opinion is that it is foolish parenting to assume so.

Also, let's not forget that the teenagers who committed this awful crime are children after all. Many institutions including the educational system, social services and the police have failed before the innocent lives of the victims are ruined. These suspects were already known to the school head teachers and the police. I am not being unreasonable to assume if they were not already on social services radar. This is a crime that could have been prevented.

Please ensure that your children head teacher is onboard to give your children the required pastoral care.

No, I'm not aware. Can you expand further?
