Hi! My hubby was born and bred around the Bellshill, Townhead & Coatbridge area but I’m from South East England and we have a 3yo son. Recently, we’ve been thinking about relocating to Scotland as hubby is keen to move back closer to his family, amongst other reasons.
Anyway...it’s been some time since he’s lived up there and we have been looking at Gartcosh and also Holytown as possible places to live. Firstly, what are these areas like for schools, doctors etc?
Secondly, has anyone else made the move from the south to the north and how did you find it in regards to being accepted into the community, making friends etc?
